Portland Phoenix: Xiaoze Xie at Bates
Xiaoze Xie shows an excellent collection of mostly paintings but also videos, drawings, and installations at the Bates College Museum of Art. The paintings are exquisitely conceived and executed, yet unsettling in their implications.
